We like to think of our relationship with our volunteers as a two-way street. We like to make sure you get something out of volunteering with us, whether its education, or to go to festivals, or simply to just make friends! We are proud that in our Volunteer Agreement, we promise more to you than we expect you to promise to us!
Here’s some of things you could do with the project:
- Learn about Permaculture, the sustainable way to grow food, and put it into practice in our Garden
- Help to organise and run one of our famous ‘Freedom Matters’ fundraising nights
- Learn to cook specialty dishes from asylum seekers at one of our ‘Pay as You Feel Meals’
- Help run our workshops both in Manchester and at festivals across the country
- How about something you could add to the project?!
If you’d like to volunteer with us and join our crew, you’ll need to first become a member. To do this you’ll need to:
- Fill in a registration of interest form. Only your name and e-mail address are required, but we’d like to know more about you so we can make sure you have a great volunteer experience
- You will then need to attend a Volunteer Induction. These are ran regularly and we will contact you when these are announced. You don’t have to come to the very next one, but you won’t be able to join our crew until you’ve attended one.
- At the Volunteer Induction, you will receive a small safeguarding presentation, and you’ll sign our volunteer agreement & membership forms to become an official member!
